2025年1月31日（金）から 3月2日（日）、K Art Galleryにて、
西村 友輝 の個展、『Collection』を開催いたします。


-Artist Statement-
実在するモチーフを平面に描くときに、そこにあるすべての情報をそのまま写し取ることは容易ではありません。そこには私自身のまなざしがあり、捉えた現象の中から、描くべき要素を選択する行為が連続的に発生します。
展示されている作品は、私が対象を観察し、画面を通して鑑賞者と共有するために選び取った要素の集合体であると考えられます。

西村 友輝 Tomoteru Nishimura
1988年 佐賀県生まれ。
頭に浮かぶイメージを実際に存在させ、その様子を主にペインティングで制作する。
現在は関東を拠点に活動中。

From January 31 (Fri) to March 2 (Sun), 2025, K Art Gallery will host Tomoteru Nishimura's solo exhibition, Collection.

Artist Statement
When depicting real-life motifs on a flat surface, it is not easy to faithfully reproduce all the information as it is. My own perspective inevitably comes into play, leading to a continuous process of selecting which elements to portray from the phenomena I observe.
The works on display can be seen as a collection of those selected elements—carefully chosen to share with viewers through the medium of the canvas.

Born in 1988 in Saga Prefecture.
Creates works, primarily paintings, by bringing imagined images into tangible existence.
Currently based in the Kanto region.
