褻のヴィーナス

清水 雄稀

2026年1月16日（金）から2月8日（日）までK ART GALLERYにて、清水 雄稀の個展、『褻のヴィーナス』を開催いたします。
展示初日の1月16日はオープン時間を12:00-20:00 に延長し、作家も在廊いたします。この機会にぜひお越しください。


-Artist Statement-
僕は物を作って発表するという事に対して、照れが生じる時がある。言葉で伝えるには長かったり、赤裸々だったりする事を、この世にブツとして存在させてしまうからだ。
今展の企画を練るにあたり、その内気な部分を何処かへやってしまう事から始めた。
タイトルを探す内に、「褻」という漢字がしっくり来た。「ハレ」の反対を指し、「普段」という意味で、「はだぎ」という読み方ができる。藝術の藝にも似ていて何だかいい。
きっと今までとこれからの狭間の展示になると思う。是非実物を見にお越しください。

清水雄稀
2022年 東京藝術大学大学院 工芸科陶磁分野修了。
2024年 個展「相添ふ」K ART GALLERY。
その他展示多数。
現在茨城県取手市にて作陶中。

K ART GALLERY is pleased to present Hadagi no Venus, a solo exhibition by Yuki Shimizu, from January 16 (Fri) to February 8 (Sun), 2026.
On the opening day, January 16, the gallery will extend its hours from 12:00 to 8:00 PM, and the artist will be present. We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition on this special occasion.


-Artist Statement-
At times, I feel a sense of shyness about creating objects and presenting them to the public. Feelings that might be too long or too exposed to articulate in words become tangible—objects that come to exist unmistakably in the world.
In preparing for this exhibition, I began by setting aside that timid part of myself.
As I searched for a title, the kanji “褻” felt right. Read as “hadagi,” it refers to the opposite of “hare”—something ordinary, everyday, and informal. The character also resembles the “藝” used in the word art, which somehow felt fitting.
This exhibition exists in the space between what has been and what is yet to come.

-Artist Profile-
Yuki Shimizu
Completed the Master’s Program in Ceramics, Department of Crafts, Tokyo University of the Arts, 2022.
Solo exhibition “ai-sou”, K ART GALLERY, 2024.
Participated in numerous group exhibitions.
Currently based in Toride, Ibaraki Prefecture, where he continues his ceramic practice.
