門倉太久斗

2026年2月13日（金）から3月8日（日）までK ART GALLERYにて、門倉太久斗の個展、『点検 / 保守 / バランス』を開催いたします。
展示初日の2月13日はオープン時間を12:00-20:00 に延長し、作家も在廊いたします。この機会にぜひお越しください。


-Artist Statement-
古来より形の変わっていない道具に神秘を感じる。

多くの人による改良の積み重ねがあり現在の形状に至った後も、長く使われてきた道具はほとんど奇跡に近い形状を留めている。私は作り手として何か新しいものを生み出したいと願う一方、古くから培われてきた技術と道具に敬意を払い、大切にしていきたいとも思っている。

道具のあり方と同じように、私が（私たちが）なぜこのようであるのかを知っていくにつれ、世界が複雑で歪な形状をしていることを感じざるを得ない。決して洗練された形状ではないが、同時にそれが驚くべきバランスの上に成り立っていている事にも気がつく。さまざまな作用と応答が、多くの人間の地道な努力の積み重ねによって培われてきた。退屈さや痛みに耐えることで保たれているかもしれない「バランス」。そこに神秘はないかもしれないが、私は敬意を感じずにはいられない。

私は別に画期的なアイディアを思いついたりしていない。そういうこともたまには起こるけれど、そんな奇跡が連続して生まれるわけがない。まずは道具を大切にし、足元がどのようになっているのかよく観察すること。日々健やかに過ごし、退屈さや痛みに耐えて、適切に反応していくこと。点検、保守、バランス。この積み重ねの先にこそ良きものが生まれると、最近は信じている。


-Artist Profile-
門倉太久斗（22世紀ジェダイ）
門倉太久斗は埼玉県生まれ、武蔵野美術大学造形学部空間デザイン科ファッション専攻卒業。コムデギャルソンにパタンナーとして従事しながら、愛するアニメ、プリキュアをモチーフとしたネックレスを制作、「22世紀ジェダイ」としてSNSで発表し注目を集める。独立後、「門倉太久斗」名義で発表する絵画作品では、花をモチーフに男性性やファッション、装飾をテーマに表現を追求。独自の形状をした植物や人物などをモチーフに、絶妙な構図と色の組み合わせで画面いっぱいに描き、中毒的な魅力をもって鑑賞者を引きつける。また他の代表作として、自宅の掲示板に作品を展示した「掲示板ドローイング・シリーズ」が挙げられる。

February 13 (Fri) – March 8 (Sun), 2026, K ART GALLERY will present a solo exhibition by Takuto Kadokura (22nd Century Jedi), Inspection / Maintenance / Balance.

On the opening day, February 13, the gallery will extend its hours from 12:00 to 20:00, and the artist will be present.

-Artist Statement-
I am drawn to tools whose forms have remained unchanged since ancient times. Even after generations of refinement, long-used tools still feel almost miraculous in their shape.As a maker, I want to create new things. But I also feel a deep respect for the tools and techniques that have been passed down over time, and I want to care for and preserve them.As I think about tools, I also start to think about people—about why we are the way we are. The world is not simple or neatly formed. It is complex, uneven, and imperfect. Yet somehow, it holds together through an extraordinary balance.This balance is not created by sudden inspiration or dramatic ideas. It is built through small, repeated efforts—through endurance, patience, and quiet persistence. It may come from tolerating boredom, from working through discomfort, and from continuing to respond carefully to what is in front of us. There may be nothing mystical about it, but it deserves respect.I don’t believe in constant breakthroughs. Occasionally, new ideas appear, but real value does not come from continuous miracles. It comes from caring for your tools, paying attention to where you stand, living steadily, responding properly to each situation, and maintaining balance through inspection and maintenance.Lately, I’ve come to believe that it is only through this accumulation of ordinary, repeated actions that something truly good is created.


-Artist Profile- Takuto Kadokura(22seiki jedi)
Takuto Kadokura / 22seiki jedi was born in Saitama, Japan, and graduated from the Department of Spatial Design (Fashion major) at Musashino Art University. While working as a pattern maker at Comme des Garçons, he began creating necklaces inspired by his beloved anime Pretty Cure, presenting them on social media under the name “22nd Century Jedi,” where they quickly gained attention.After becoming independent, he began presenting painting works under his real name, Takuto Kadokura. Using flowers as a central motif, he explores themes of masculinity, fashion, and ornamentation. His works depict uniquely shaped plants and figures in carefully composed, vibrant color arrangements that fill the canvas, drawing viewers in with a distinctive, almost addictive visual intensity.Another notable body of work is the Bulletin Board Drawing Series, in which he exhibited drawings on the bulletin board in his own home.
