-Artist Statement-
日々の出来事や思考を日記に書き留め、内面に生まれた感情の動きや微かな揺らぎを一筆書きの線として描いている。筆を画面に置いてから離すまでの数秒間に、記憶や感情の余韻が反映され、線の揺らぎが現れていく。
心の奥に潜む、言葉にならない感覚や名前のない気持ちに、かすかな輪郭を与えるように現れる線。それはまるで、自己と他者、内と外とのあいだに生まれた心の機微をなぞる記録でもある。

永田 惇也 画家
日記を制作の起点とし、感情や思考の変化を一筆書きで表現している。
近年では、都内マンションのロビー、ホテルの客室などに作品を多数提供し、今回が初の個展となる。

I keep a daily journal of events and thoughts, and translate the subtle shifts and stirrings of emotion that arise within me into single, continuous lines drawn on paper.
In the few seconds between placing the brush on the surface and lifting it away, traces of memory and emotional afterglow are reflected, and the wavering of the line begins to emerge.

These lines give faint contours to sensations that dwell deep within—feelings without names, emotions beyond words.
They appear almost like a record, tracing the delicate nuances of the heart that arise between self and other, between the inner and the outer world.

Junya Nagata – Painter
Starting from daily journaling, Junya Nagata expresses shifts in emotion and thought through single, continuous line drawings.
In recent years, his works have been featured in various settings, including lobbies of apartment buildings and hotel guest rooms in Tokyo.
This exhibition marks his first solo show.
