2025年4月19日（土）から5月11日（日）、K Art Galleryにて、
Taketo Kikuchi の個展、『母なる異郷』を開催いたします。

母なる異郷と時間の森
私は過去の体験や日常で目にするものから脳がスパークして、原風景に思いをめぐらすことがあります。
本展覧会では、ギャラリー空間を自身で作り上げた原風景の森林に見立て、そこに流れる時間や感情をテーマに新作を展開します。

菊池 虎十 / Taketo Kikuchi
1998年生まれ。東京都出身。
布という素材に興味関心がある。
自身の潜在意識や時間の流れをテーマに、支持体に合わせて布を独自の形に歪ませる表現を追求する。
四肢を持つ生き物、地平線、光などを、伸縮性の高い生地にエアブラシを用いて描き作品制作している。
平面作品やインスタレーションの制作を行いながら、近年では布を立体に巻き、360度鑑賞できる平面作品と立体作品を行き来するような制作を試みている。

Taketo Kikuchi Solo Exhibition "Motherland in a Foreign Land"

-Artist Statement-
Motherland in a Foreign Land and the Forest of Time
There are moments when something I see in everyday life—or an echo from my past—sparks my mind and draws me back to a landscape deeply rooted in memory.
In this exhibition, I envision the gallery space as a forest from my own imagined homeland, and present new works that explore the flow of time and emotion within that landscape.

Taketo Kikuchi
Born in 1998, Tokyo.
Taketo Kikuchi is an artist with a deep interest in fabric as a material. His work explores themes of the subconscious and the passage of time, distorting fabric into unique forms tailored to each support surface. He paints imagery such as four-limbed creatures, horizons, and light onto highly stretchable fabrics using an airbrush technique. While creating both two-dimensional works and installations, he has recently been experimenting with wrapping fabric into three-dimensional forms—blurring the boundaries between flat and sculptural, and inviting the viewer to engage with the work from all angles.
